Position
Summary:

As the Cook II, you will prepare food for consumption in a cafeteria setting. You will ensure that meals are ready for employee s breaks and respond promptly to customer needs. You will assist the supervisor in ordering and receiving goods.

Key
Responsibilities:

1. Prepares, seasons, and cook soups, meats, vegetables and other foods following a wide range of cooking procedures.
2. Sets up serving line and deli display case.
3. Ensures condiments and beverages are fully stocked.
4. Receives cash for products and returns the correct change using the cash register.
5. Keeps all food preparation surfaces clean and sanitized.


Qualifications:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
Minimum 3 months related cooking experience and/or training
ServeSafe certification/training preferred
Ability to operate a cash register and multiple kitchen appliances/equipment
Ability to speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations
Ability to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events

Physical Demand:

Constant:
Stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.

Frequently:
Use hands to finger, handle, or feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. Lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally more than 50 pounds.

Occasionally:
Sit, climb or balance, taste and smell.
