GHD currently has an opening in our Bowie, MD or Charlotte, NC office for a Principal Asset Management Consultant specializing in Transportation with 15 - 20 years of experience working either in a consulting capacity or directly in a public department of transportation or equivalent agency, or both.
Responsibilities include winning and executing transportation asset management projects using knowledge of the industry, leveraging industry contacts, and developing and leveraging a strong team of GHD staff with skills and experience to serve the transportation industry.
Primary functions will include using your knowledge of the transportation industry to determine where there is a need for GHD services; networking with existing transportation and related industry contacts to introduce GHD's services, leading or assisting in the pursuit for assignments, and serving as Project Manager or Project Director for transportation asset management assignments.
Minimum Requirements:

Degree-qualified in Engineering or equivalent with transportation specialization.
M.
S.
Degree-qualified in Engineering or equivalent with transportation specialization preferred.
Professional engineering license preferred.
15 - 20 years of experience working either in a consulting capacity or directly in a public department of transportation or equivalent agency, or both.
Significant experience in both road and rail transportation sectors.
5 years or more of senior level asset management experience serving the transportation industry.
5 years or more of experience in maintenance management activities for road and rail transportation sectors preferred.
Membership or affiliations within AASHTO, TRB or similar professional organizations.
