Quality Assurance Team (QAT) member

The Quality Assurance Team (QAT) member is responsible for assessing the quality of the work performed by MRR Quality review staff, Leads and QMs. The QAT member will help define and continuously improve the methods and metrics used to determine accuracy as well as the approaches to providing feedback to the review staff in an effort to maximize accuracy.
Perform quality control over-read reviews of previously completed record reviews to ensure accuracy, completeness, and overall high quality of the Quality Department staff (overreaders) and processes;
Provide direct feedback to the Quality staff member regarding accuracy of record reviews;
Maintain appropriate reporting documents on MedNet as directed by management;
Maintain an accuracy rate of 95% or better on all maintenance and Knowledge Assessments;
Maintain ongoing proficiency across all product lines assigned;
Participate in the monthly reporting of trends in errors found;
Be a contributor to the knowledge base items, training events, communicationsn and creation of best practices for the Quality Staff;
Attend all Clinical Analytics department meetings and trainings as directed; and
Attend Quality Department meetings and trainings as needed and required by Clinical Analytics management.
Licensed nurse or certified coder with at least 2 years of coding experience at Inovalon;
Must be able to achieve and maintain the accuracy standard of 95% or better;
Must not be on a Corrective Action Plan or involved in the Progressive Disciplinary Process;
Strong working knowledge of medical terminology and coding guidelines and regulations as they relate to Risk Adjustment;
Computer literate; familiar with Microsoft Office applications;
Professionally skilled in written and verbal communications; and
Position will require the ability to provide feedback to associates audited.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
