The Senior Business Analyst will support and coordinate product development, product validation and product design/strategy initiatives for the Quality Improvement product line. This position will also perform significant quality improvement related analytic operational activities and create client deliverables on a monthly basis. This position will also perform analysis including but not limited to quality improvement measure trend analysis, benchmark rate comparison, predictive modeling and member-measure prioritization.
Conduct business requirement definition sessions and translate business requirements into actionable analytics requests;
Build and utilize reporting, business intelligence and analysis solutions, relational dataset to identify root cause understanding in measure performance patterns, trends, and underscoring variances from targets;
Support client services management players, star optimization team, product leadership, and operations leadership in their ongoing dialogue with clients and relevant internal stakeholders regarding the performance of quality improvement measures;
Utilize and apply advanced T-SQL, SAS, and other data analysis tools to develop insights into health care outcomes and the drivers of such outcomes;
Develop predictive models to forecast health care measurement performance and adjust intervention strategies to influence future performance;
Build, test and report on business user acceptance test cases; and
Provide data analytical input, including charts, tables, graphs, and other analysis for executive-level presentations and client reporting.
Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Engineering, Health Science, or equivalent and 5
years experience in an analytic/data analysis environment OR Master's degree in a technical field such as Engineering, Health Science, or equivalent and 3
years experience in an analytic/data analysis environment;
3
years consulting experience in healthcare is preferred;
Excellent analytical skills with experience in data management/data operations/data analysis providing technical support to analytical teams in a SQL based environment;
Preferred experience with healthcare quality reporting, including familiarity with quality measurement standards such as NCQA's HEDIS;
Demonstration of a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work;
Microsoft SQL, Access and Excel skills for the purpose of quantitative analysis are required;
Professionally skilled in personal presentation, verbal, and written communication; and
Meticulous organizational skills.
